Going...going....gone!

I am late in posting this, but yes all of our puppies are in great homes. They are literally all over the Southeast and one even ended up in a pretty famous home! We have had a great time with this litter of puppies. Koko has been (and continues to be) a great Mama dog. We kept two of the puppies, one for Noah and one for me. In the midst of nursing 11 puppies, Koko was looking a little rough and we were beginning to wonder if she would recover but I am happy to report that she is doing well and looking better every day. We may breed her again one day but she is going to get a much deserved long break before we do.

One left!

We have had a great experience with this litter of puppies. We have met some great people and provided them with some quality puppies in the process. We have one puppy available now...a little male the girls call Beau (the father's name is Beaureguard).

45.2 pounds

That is how much the puppies weigh collectively! They all got their 6 week shots this morning and all are doing fine. It is a sad week as they will start going to their new homes this week.

Feeding Frenzy!

Koko has been an exceptional mamma but I know she must be ready for these pups to go! She just looks at us like , "Am I going to have to do this forever?" But she does it without fail.

We took the puppies out in the yard today for some exercise and I shot this little video of them running around and playing with each other.

One month old and growing strong.

Well the family has hit the one month mark and they are growing like weeds. We have started weaning them by letting them eat some puppy food soaked in whole milk that we get from a local dairy (the real stuff). They love it and Momma enjoys them eating anything that doesn't involve being mauled by a bunch of puppies! With more puppies than nipples, there is always some fighting to get on while others are fighting to stay on. She is doing a great job of mothering because all are well taken care of and growing great.

We submitted our paperwork to the Boykin Spaniel Society to have the litter registered so they should be on there soon as well at www.boykinspaniel.org

Three weeks old today.

Well the puppies hit the three week mark today and they all seem to be growing well. They have started to bark occasionally and walk a little and they all have their eyes open now. It's hard to believe it has been three weeks already. Koko is hanging in there and being a great mamma to them.

Puppies are two weeks old today!

The puppies are growing like weeds and Koko is doing a great job taking care of them. For a first-time Mom she is doing especially well. We are getting the paperwork together to register the litter with the Boykin Spaniel Society. They make us wait until the puppies are 28 days old before we can do that so it will be a couple of weeks on that. A couple of the puppies are beginning to open their eyes now.

As of today we have four males and four females available.

We have 12 beautiful Boykin Spaniel puppies!

This is our Mama dog Koko. She is 4 years old and just had her first litter of puppies. She had them on April 28th and they will be available for delivery on June 15th, 2009. Koko had her hips OFA rated as good as did the father, Beauregard. Both are members of the Boykin Spaniel Society. www.boykinspaniel.org

We are presently taking deposits of $100 to reserve a puppy. The price for the puppies is $700. There are 7 males and 5 females in the litter and there are males and females still available as of today (5-5-09).
