The start of the training

It was the best of times...It was the worst of times.

It's always bittersweet when it comes time for the puppies to go to their new homes. They are so cute and cuddly but we are excited for them to find a new home where they will be loved and cared for and be a blessing to their new owners. I think if Beau and Koko could understand such things, they would be proud that their progeny is scattered all over the southeast from Texas to North Carolina and that they have become skilled hunters and faithful companions.

Monday is the big day!

It's hard to believe but the puppies will start going to their new homes on Monday. They will be 7 weeks old next week so it's time but I hate to see all those little cuties go.

They are not all spoken for so we'll get to enjoy some of them for a little while yet. I think Koko is ready for them to go. She plays with them some but 13 kids is rough on a girl! She's been a great mamma dog to them but she's ready for a much deserved break.

Picture Day - 4 weeks old

The puppies turned 4 weeks this week so we thought it was time for some more pics. So with the help of Savannah, our resident photographer we got some cute ones.

Here we go again!

It has been two years since Koko had her first litter of puppies. I am glad to report that she gave birth to 13 beautiful babies on June 1st! There are 5 girls and 8 boys and they are beautiful. Koko is once again being a spectacular Mommy dog and taking good care of all of them. They are all growing fast, opening their eyes and starting to walk a little bit.
